Editorial Independence and Ethics
Independence is the foundation of Fabrics Vetted. Everything here works only if you can trust that a verdict reflects the evidence and nothing else. This page explains exactly how that works.
No brand pays for coverage. No brand pays to be included, to be ranked, or to receive a particular score. There are no sponsored verdicts and no paid placements. A brand cannot buy its way onto a recommended list or off a critical one.
Product we receive for testing. We sometimes buy products ourselves and sometimes request or receive them from brands for testing. When a product was provided by a brand, we say so clearly wherever we discuss it. Provided product is tested against the same criteria as anything we purchase, and receiving it never changes the score or the verdict.
How verdicts are made. Every score follows a published methodology. The criteria are the same for every brand, and they are visible so you can check the work yourself. Scores follow the evidence and the criteria, not relationships.
Affiliate links. Fabrics Vetted uses no affiliate links anywhere on this site. We earn nothing when you buy a product we recommend, which means a recommendation is only ever about the product itself.
Brand partnerships. Fabrics Vetted does not accept paid sponsorships in exchange for coverage. If that ever changes, any sponsored content will be labeled clearly and kept entirely separate from independent verdicts and scores.
Corrections. If we get something wrong, we correct it openly and note what changed. Accuracy matters more than being right the first time.
Conflicts of interest. If any relationship could reasonably affect our judgment of a brand or product, we disclose it alongside the relevant content.
